A little history
My wife and I decided to start this up in 2007, we knew this is something we would both enjoy and between the two of us had about 20 years experience with aquariums. We currently own a 125 gallon reef tank that houses a combination of soft and hard corals, polyps and mushrooms and much more. We also have our 47 gallon Urchin tank.
We started Abilene Marine Aquarium Society (abimas) in 2008 to bring more knowledge and education to people keeping marine aquariums here and around Abilene. We wanted to make sure that people had the most information available to them to make there fish tanks as enjoyable as they could be. We also wanted to bring everyone together to be able to enjoy each others tanks and make friends across the area. We will carry these same goals in this business. We plan on opening a store in the near future that will specialize in the knowledge and awareness of salt water aquarium life. It is something we have been thinking about for a long time and have finally decided to start making the preparations towards.
